Question: Why can't a 13 year old volunteer to help the wildlife effected by the gulf oil spill?!?

Its really pissing me off considering that my generation is going to have to live w/ out fish in the friggin ocean because an oil pipe blew up and i WANT TO HELP!!!!!! ARRGHH!! where can i sign up to help!?

Because you are a minor and the environment there is not safe for you either. Perhaps you could look into alternative methods, like fund raising or awareness campaigns or info fliers or educating people about Oil industry practices. Not all the help has to be on the front line, and all help is important. I applaud your zeal.

You can't volunteer because you are a minor; all organizations must be responsible for their volunteers and at 13, you are clearly too much of a risk. No, you cannot sign away the organization's responsibility. You might be able to help in other ways...how about having a yard sale and donating the proceeds? Hope this helps.
